Brodie Pomper, Researcher & Design Strategist

Aka, Brodo Burl, is trained as an agroecologist, nurseryman, and bioinformatician. Raised on an intergenerational farm in Pennsylvania, he saw the looming food and biodiversity crisis, and studied Agrocecology at Penn State University to be part of the solution to our mounting problems. Plant pathology, true sustainability, biodiversity, and food sovereignty guide his studies and passions. In preparation for studying the complex webs of interactions within and between organisms, he acquired an education in bioinformatics, the emerging science of studying vast quantities of biological data with computers. As a grower of native and ornamental plants for the last 10 years, Brodie knows what works and doesn't work in the field, and has the vision to plan for our uncertain future with what we plant today. Brodie is excited to plan your biodiverse agroecosystems, humble or colossal as they may be.
